Small Insert. Smarter Pot Setup. 🪴

Soggy Pot Bottom? Give Water a Clearer Way Out.

A tiny drainage cone that sits over your planter's existing drainage hole, helping keep the opening clear of soil and creating space for water and air to move.

🧹 Less Loose Soil Escaping

It's What's Under the Soil That Matters

The Drainage Hole Is Small. Its Job Is Huge.

When soil packs against the bottom of a pot, water can have a harder time leaving. Excessively wet growing conditions can put roots under stress.

  • Blocked openings: soil can settle around drainage holes.
  • Messy watering: loose potting mix can wash out onto surfaces.
  • Fussy repotting: improvised mesh or filler adds extra steps.

This insert supports drainage; it does not replace a drainage hole, suitable potting mix or proper watering habits.

An Easy Upgrade You Won't See

A Little Cone. A More Thoughtful Drainage Path.

The raised, open-sided design sits above the pot's drain hole. Its perforations let water pass through while helping hold back larger pieces of potting mix.

  • Raised conical shape leaves space over the opening.
  • Open mesh sides allow water to pass.
  • Wide base wings help position the insert.

No Complicated Setup

Place It. Add Soil. Plant As Usual.

A simple addition to your next potting or repotting session — no complicated tools or layers of loose filler needed just to cover a drain hole.

Good to Know Before You Plant

A Few Quick Answers.

Will this prevent root rot?

It is designed to help keep the drain opening clear and support water movement at the bottom of the pot. It cannot guarantee prevention of root rot. Proper watering, suitable soil and an actual drain hole still matter.

Can I use it in a pot with no drainage hole?

No. The cone is intended to work with an existing functional drainage hole; it does not create an outlet for excess water.

Do I need tools to install it?

Simply place the cone over the drainage hole before filling the pot. Scissors may help trim the outer wings when needed.

Does it stop all soil from escaping?

It helps limit larger particles of potting mix washing out through the opening, but very fine particles may still pass through.

Which size and quantity should I order?

Select Small, Medium or Large based on the pot's bottom area. Check the product variant for the number of cones included in your order.
